Hi, my name is Elaine and I’m 21 years old. I just graduated college this May of 2025.

Now, I’ve never really done something like this but I’m desperate. I got this car about 2 years ago. I saved up and spent my entire savings to afford it with a some help from my parents. I needed the car so I can go to school since my university isn’t in my home city.

2 months ago, I got into a stupid “minor” accident which produced a major bill. I can’t afford the bill to pay for my car. I’m basically stuck in my college town all the way upstate (I live in nyc). I’ve never been in an accident before. I asked them if they can fix it to make it legal to drive downstate and then I can fix the rest when I get home, but the bill is too much for me to handle!! My lease is up at the end of this month so I need to go home soon.

I don’t know what else to do. My parents have done so much for me to help me get this car and it breaks my heart asking them for more. I need help. I just want to go home.
