The Favro family has not asked me to create this page,  they didn't know I was going to, and they would never ask anyone for anything. I know the last thing they're  thinking about right now is money as they spend each day by Elaine's side. They are overwhelmed with gratitude for all of the love and support from people who know them personally, colleagues, community members and friends of friends. Every dollar raised will go to support Elaine's recovery, as well as help to meet her family's needs as they focus completely on Elaine. 

Last February, Elaine was diagnosed with an aggressive bladder cancer.  She underwent rounds of chemotherapy followed by a surgery to  have her bladder removed. Months later, a tumour was found on her lung, and she prepared for another surgery to remove part of her lung.  This past Friday, during the procedure, Elaine suffered from a severe stroke in the OR, resulting in paralysis on the left side of her body. She then underwent  an emergency craniotomy surgery where doctors removed a part of her skull  to alleviate pressure on her brain. At this point, doctors have taken all available measures and Elaine is in critical condition in the ICU where  her family is prayerfully awaiting her recovery little by little, day by day. 

More than anything, Elaine and her family need prayer at this time. Please pray that her body be free from infection, strengthened and healed and that she can continue to persevere through each challenge she faces. 

Thank you for being with us, showing so much love and support to my whole family, and helping meet needs in such an unexpected situation. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting Elaine in the days ahead.
