Elaine's Medical Fundraiser
Donation protected
My mother Elaine has been struggling with depression for many years, far before I was even born. I've seen her through her ups and downs in life but recently those downs were outweighing her ups.
On Monday, September 14th 2020, my mother almost lost that battle with her mental illness. Luckily I found her in time to get her to the hospital, but that was only the beginning of the medical treatment she needed.
She's been in the hospital for exactly a week now, (today 9/21/20) and has been transferred multiple times to different units and hospitals. Once she is let out, hopefully later this week, she will be going to outpatient therapy sessions for as long as she needs it.
I know she is laying in the hospital worrying about paying for all of this, and the last thing I want her to be feeling after almost taking her life is guilt. She is the strongest woman I know and I want to do everything I can to get her the help she needs, no matter the cost.
We aren't sure how much any of her medical bills will be, but anything will help us and my mother Elaine. She means the absolute world to me, and she was there for me when I was going through a similar situation only a few years ago.
Please, even if you can't donate, share this to get my mother's story out there. Remember to tell everyone you care about that you love them, you aren't sure what they are going through, and you aren't sure when the last time you will see them is.
Even if they only thing you get from this is information, please do your research on getting help as September is Suicide Awareness month. It could be anyone you love, or even yourself.
Blessed be, and take care of yourselves, you are worth love and you are worth the help.
