Elaine Lee - Motorized Wheelchair Fund

I first met Elaine Lee about 25 years ago when she appeared in my grade 7 band class Her diminutive size belied the larger than life personality she possessed. 

Born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta , also commonly known as Brittle Bones, Elaine was not expected to live past the age of two years. Obviously, she proved that prognosis to be wrong!  Not only has she survived, but she went on after completing secondary school to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design.

Elaine is very active as an artist, a motivational speaker, and she also volunteers her time for a wide variety of worthy causes, focusing mainly on those who are most vulnerable in our society. All of this requires mobility, and that is where this GoFundMe campaign comes in.

Due to her condition and her  petite physical size (at less 2.5 ft. tall, weighing only 26 lbs.), the type of chair required by Elaine is very specialized and, consequently, also very expensive. Her existing 11 year old chair no longer meets her needs and is often malfunctioning during critical times and no longer charges properly.

As you can imagine, this piece of equipment is extremely important to Elaine, not only as she navigates through the challenges of everyday life, but also for those things she does to inspire and help others.

This situation is urgent for Elaine. Please give generously.
