So about 3 weeks ago my sister woke up swollen in the hands, face and arms and feeling like an elephant was sitting on her chest having trouble catching her breath. She found herself in the Emergency room for hours to be told everything was fine and got sent home, not long after she received a call saying she needed to come back right away because they "found something". After days of being poked and prodded at and numerous test ran she heard the news no one ever wants to hear CANCER! Once informed she took it like a champ and endured many painful procedures, CT scans, ultrasounds, labs, biopsies and was finally diagnosed at the age of 41 with High grade B cell Non-Hodgkins lymphoma stage 2 which is a rapid aggressive growing cancer and unfortunately the tumor is in the center of her chest connected to her heart so it can not be fully removed, therefore she has to endure many months of an aggressive chemotherapy treatment, more tests and more trips in and out of the hospital for atleast a good 5 months praying no longer then that. Not only that she is also suffering with blood clots in her neck that are also being treated.
With every appointment comes a cost, with every trip comes a cost, every meal, procedure, treatment comes a cost along with everyday costs which she will not be able to work for these months in treatment and unfortunately not able to collect FMLA and who knows what will bring after that. Finances are the last thing her and her family need to worry about at this time. We can only take it one day at a time.
So yes we are asking for help. Whether its prayer, reaching out, positive vibes or helping offset costs associated with this diagnosis we are very thankful for any and all the support her little family will receive during this difficult time.
So again we thank you for your support. For your prayers. For your blessings.
