Elaine is our doyenne of Front of House and , as I know perhaps better than anyone, our star First Responder .
She is hobbled by a hip that needs urgent replacement and under current circumstances the NHS will be unable to address her problem for the foreseeable future. The alternative is to have the operation privately, and while Elaine would be able to meet the costs of this, doing so would materially impact her plans for her future and retirement.
This Appeal therefore has been set up to invite Members of Sunningdale Golf Club to help her, and its proceeds will be applied exclusively towards meeting the costs of her procedure and aftercare in the Private Medical Sector.
I urge you to support this cause. She has been a stalwart for us for decades and always there if needed . She is "Part of the Furniture", and, but for her intervention with the paddles, I would be Part of the Furniture (meaning a wooden bench on some distant tee on the New).
