On March 4th, our parents, Eric and Elaine Tipton, lost their home to a gas explosion and fire. We are beyond grateful that neither of them was home at the time, but devastated at the loss of their home and all of their belongings.

Our parents have lived on Ferndale Drive for 35 years, and on the mountain even longer. They built a beautiful home. It was full of love, comfort, and a place where so many wonderful memories were made.

As you know, they’re passionate about their grandkids, family, friends, and their community. With both of them now retired/semi-retired they spend their time with their grandkids and on the mountain - their home.

Eric and Elaine have done so much for the community throughout their careers. Now they’re full-time birders and love their roles as Grandma and Papa.

As their children, we wanted to create an outlet for the many friends and family that have reached out asking, “What can we do?”

If you want to help them through this terrible tragedy by donating, know that any amount is more than generous, and will help them get back on their feet. We are so appreciative of your love and support.

With love and gratitude,
Luke, Lauren and Claire
