El on their path to healing and happiness

Hi!! My name is Randall! I'm a local hair artist and I have had the amazing privilege of walking along side El on their journey for probably 10 years now. As a hair artist you develop many relationships through out your career but sometimes there are those special people that just click and stick! El has become one of those amazing people in my life! With El there is a level of transparency that comes with kindness and love and only a person who has experienced the opposite of that can actually create those spaces for folks authentically.

When I checked in on El after their life giving surgery and they said they were in need of help I instantly threw my hat in the ring for them and said what can I do. We talked about a go fund me and so here we are!

El has recently gone through live giving surgeries. While this is a positive and life changing situation it has come with some challenges. The recovery is not easy. There is a lot of down time and resting. Movement is extremely limited while El is recovering which limits El's ability to work, cook, clean, care for their child which they are a single parent of a beautifully autistic child named Manny. I have had the deep honor of learning to cut this young persons hair and he truly is magic. Another reason I'm advocating for my friend El and the community to come together to help raise $9,000. This money will help cover housing costs, food, child care and continued medical care for El. If you have had surgery or a loved one has gone through major surgery then you know the recovery and how that goes is crucial to the over all healing process of the patient. Removing whatever stress can help the recovery process so much more.

No one is more deserving of a community coming together in support then El. The support El has shown me as an individual and also the way they show up for their community is inspiring. I believe in karma and I believe it's El's turn to experience the grace that comes with receiving help in a time of need.
