Over the past three weeks, we have been applying our nursing training at Recoleta Rehabilitation Centre in Peru. During our time here, we’ve witnessed firsthand the urgent and heartbreaking needs of the residents.

Many are lacking basic essentials such as warm clothing, vital medications, and mobility aids like wheelchairs and walking sticks. The limited resources available are broken and unreliable, severely impacting residents’ quality of life, forcing many of them to go without.

One image that has stayed with us is of a partially sighted individual leading four blind residents at once—simply because there aren’t enough walking sticks or staff to assist.

With your support, we are hoping to improve the conditions and welfare of the residents.
