It is my heart felt wish that this message finds every one of you in the best of health. As I sincerely thank you for your past support, I want to appeal for your continued support as the nature of the challenges our people face demands it. Thanks to your generosity, Ekklesia has been able to give a meaningful life to many neglected and , vulnerable members of the Oromo society.
Ekklesia Oromia NGO was established in 2020 in the United States under the Internal Revenue Code IRC Section 503 (C) (3) and is also registered in Ethiopia # 6054. Ekklesia Oromia focuses on supporting the most vulnerable members of society in Oromia and Ethiopia at large. The program includes children with multiple disabilities, the elderly, and widows
Since 2020, Ekklesia Oromia has been a beacon of hope for the vulnerable in Oromia and Ethiopia, specially, focusing on children with disabilities, the elderly, and widows. Presently, permentely supporting 22 individuals in regions like West Arsi - Shashemene, West Wellega - Bojii, and West Shewa - Ambo.
The works have been supported by our donors mainly residing in the USA. As a result, would like to earnestly appreciate going to Life Compassion Ministry based in Ohio, USA and other donors.
Our Growing Challenge:
We're expanding to support an additional 28 individuals in Aira Gullso, West Wellega and Shashemane, West Arsi aiming to reach 50 individuals. Each person requires $35 monthly, totaling an annual budget of $21,000. For the fiscal year 2024,
Our construction Project:
The other project currently underway is a pilot project which is under construction in Bodjii, Billa town which will be replicated in other parts of the country like; central Oromia, Ambo and Southeastern Oromia, mainly in Shashemene accordingly. Among the buildings planned to be constructed for rehabilitation, Ekklesia Oromia had already begun the construction of the first building due to the urgency of some basic services for the orphans. This building covers a total area of (34 * 10 m) 340 m2. It costs 4.6 million ETB or which is approximately $55000 ; currently, 22 % of its physical work has been completed.
This facility will feature dormitory, bakery, community recreation center, guest house, historical museum, and meeting rooms, among other amenities. This project is a stepping stone towards expanding our services to other parts of the country.
