Hey everyone! I'm helping my friends Shannon and Ryan with their boy, Ned, who's had a very tough few weeks of medical issues. I hope we can rally and help offset some of these shockingly high bills and give Ned the chance he deserves! Take it from me, he's a sweetie. See a message from Shannon and Ryan below for where we are with Ned and a little background. Thank you so much in advance! Any little bit helps.
From Shan and Ry:
Hi family and friends. 2020 has been a rough year for us all, and for our 6 year old little boy Ned it's been no exception. Early in the year Ned started to show signs of having less energy than usual. It was a marked difference from that cat who used to love running around outside chasing lizards and birds (and on a security video chasing away a coyote!). Over the past few months his appetite has decreased, and we've become alarmed at his rapid weight loss. During this time we've frequented multiple vets, doing blood work, stool samples, and an ultrasound, and no one can put their finger on what's going on.
We've decided to go ahead with an endoscopy, an expensive procedure that will help us get answers about what's going on. Ned is simply too young, and has too much life in him still for us to not do anything. The range of possibilities could be as mild as a raging case of irritable bowel syndrome. We're acting fast to get a jump the next step. Everyone who knows Ned knows that he's a fighter, and can do anything with the right help.
We went into this decision knowing it would be expensive, and in no way expect to fully cover the procedures. We are just looking to offset some of the debt we're taking to do what we think is the right thing. Thanks to everyone who chips in, Ned knows how much we all care about him!
