Stand With David

David was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer in September 2017. He started an intense regimen of chemotherapy within days of his diagnosis in hopes of shrinking the tumors in his colon and liver. In February 2018, he was ready for surgery. David had surgery to remove a large portion of his colon and 70% of his liver. During surgery, his doctors found disease in his abdominal cavity and diaphragm. This meant David’s disease was more extensive than originally diagnosed. Surgeons were able to remove the other tumors and complete a very successful surgery. Unfortunately during recovery time, there was concern of new tumors developing in David’s lungs. 10 weeks post surgery David started a even more intense chemo and immunotherapy regimen. In mid July 2018, weeks after David and his wife Claire welcomed their 5th baby into the world, CT scans showed the tumors in David’s lungs were growing and there was suspicion of a new tumor in his liver. Doctors are starting David on a new treatment plan in hopes of stopping the growth and shrinking tumors. David is the sole provider for his family which includes his wife and their five children ages 6, 5, 4, 2 and 6 weeks. Any help provided to them will be used to fight this ugly disease and support their family during this difficult time.
