Michael Wilkinson's Heart Transplant Care
Donation protected
We are raising money to support Michael Wilkinson’s heart transplant and post transplant care.
UPDATE Michael’s heart transplant was a success on 03/25/2025. He is still currently admitted at Stanford hospital and can use all the support he can get right now. Please if you’re able to donate it is greatly appreciated and if not even sharing this or saying a prayer for him and our family .
To get everyone up to speed, Michael is 47 years young and is currently in the operating room at Stanford hospital undergoing a heart transplant.
Michael’s journey started 14 years ago when he suffered his first major heart attack. Through many miracles of modern medicine, and devices Michael has survived insurmountable odds. Having multiple heart procedures and medication adjustments it’s proven to be a success and has allowed Michael to live the life he deserves.
Although it's been a difficult road, Michael continues to fight every day, prioritizing time with the family and friends he loves.
Through a lot of very hard work and setbacks, Michael has finally been given the chance to get a new heart through Stanford's heart transplant program. Due to certain circumstances, Michael’s transplant needed to come sooner than anticipated.
We are incredibly grateful that Michael has the best physicians and care team that Stanford has to offer by his side.
We are thankful to his donor and his donor family for the life saving donation and sacrifice that they have given for him to have a second chance to life, and ask that you keep Michael, his family, the surgeons and the donor and donor family in your prayers.
We are raising funds from family, friends, and the community to help support his daily living expenses, and medical care through this time.
Your contribution will go directly towards his post-transplant housing costs, and any other expenses that arise during his recovery. Michael will need ongoing support and care while he is in the hospital the family has lost part of their income and your donation will help the family cover their additional travel and housing expenses while they provide him with the care he needs. Your generosity will make a significant difference in Michael’s recovery and his family's ability to support him during this challenging time.
Once transplant is complete and Michael is discharged from the hospital, Michael and his family will have to temporarily relocate for 3-6 months and live within 30 minutes from the hospital for daily visits with his care team in the bay area. Housing alone is going to cost $2500 a month and that is in a Rv park for space rent and utilities. The recovery process post-transplant is expected to extend for about one year before he can resume normal daily activity.
Funds raised will be managed by his significant other Tiffany Wilkinson.
