Despina Lopez Memorial
Donation protected
My family and I are reaching out to everyone we know during this hard time. My Aunt Despina (Desi) Lopez passed away on January 28, 2020.
My Aunt Desi worked hard her entire life. She was a single mother who worked full time and went to law school and earned her doctorate. While pursuing her dreams she was actively involved with The Women's and Civil rights movement. She was a trustee on the board of The Training and Research Foundation, which allocated all the funds for the Head Start program for the greater Los Angeles area. It was her pursuit of justice and rights for all, that earned her a place as a community leader of America.
Despina's daughters have been out of work caring for their mother for the past several months. I created a GoFundMe to help alleviate some of their financial burdens. Any donation would be used towards the funeral cost and greatly appreciated. Please share this, it would mean a lot to the girls. My cousin Helen Lopez-Montoya, Delia Botello and Stacianne Gabrielli truly appreciate all the donations make to their mother Despina Lopez to cover the burial cost.
Once again I want to thank everyone for all the love and support. My cousin Helen Lopez-Montoya will be in charge of handling the money that has been donated. Helen will use all the funds donated to cover the cost of her mother's memorial/funeral. It has been a very hard time for my cousins Helen Lopez Montoya, Delia Botello and Stacianne Gabrielle.
