Meet Joy, she is 52 years old and the Mother of 4 boys. Joy is one of our  dearest friends.  She is a wonderful mother, daughter, sister and friend. Joy and her children were abandoned by her husband 5 years ago just after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.  

Joy had a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. Then 2 years later the cancer came back as stage lV metastasized breast cancer in her bones. She has been on clinical trials and many different chemo treatments.  A year ago the cancer spread to her liver and brain. Joy had radiation to attack the tumors in her brain and chemotherapy for her liver.

Joy and her 4 children were heartbroken when her husband and their father tragically abandoned them after 16 years of marriage,  leaving them to somehow survive alone.

In addition to dealing with the severe side effects from chemotherapy,  she wakes up cheerful and happy just to be alive. She works a full time job with very little left over after paying her medical bills. 

Joy is a strong Christian and a powerful prayer warrior.  She believes miracles can happen,  and we pray they will.  In the meantime please give generously to those who cannot help themselves.
