Hi everyone!
We are trying to raise money to afford Zoey’s surgery. The estimated cost is about $1000. This is just to remove the mass and biopsy it. Our veterinarian believes that the mass on her back leg is injection site sarcoma, which is cancerous and will most likely spread. If the biopsy confirms that she has cancer, then our veterinarian will need to amputate her leg, which will be another few thousand dollars. We have pet insurance, but we need to cover the $1000 upfront. If we are reimbursed at all, I am more than happy to send money back to our donors.
My partner, Ashley, took Zoey in over two years ago. Zoey was struggling with spraying in her previous owner’s apartment and has undergone a lot of different health issues. Zoey is now 9 years old. Ashley and Zoey have a very strong bond and Zoey loves Ashley so much. From sleeping in between us at night to following Ashley into the bathroom in the morning, Zoey is a beloved part of our routine. I was incredibly fortunate to have Zoey enter my life about a year ago, when I moved in with Ashley. She is our #1 priority and we want her to live a longer, healthier life.
