Hi, my name is Sarah. On October 29th, I received a phone call that no parent wants to get. Our oldest son, Jeremy, was in the emergency room. His initial blood pressure was sky high and we found that he had suffered a stroke. Luckily he was at work when it happened and his boss's son insisted on taking him to the hospital.

After 18 days in the hospital, he came to stay with us as he continues recovering.

Unfortunately, his job does not offer health insurance, but since he's not able to work yet, he qualifies for Medicaid. Also unfortunately, this leaves him with the hospital bill for the ER visit and first 2 days in the hospital. This leaves him with $13,000 to pay (the hospital already wrote off $23,000). The additional $2,000 is to help him keep up the rent payments on his home.
