Supporting Ken and Carrie During Unexpected ICU Stay

Our beautiful mom, Carrie, is the heart of our family—the biggest source of love and support we’ve ever known. For those of you that don’t know, she’s been courageously battling a rare stage four cancer for many years, resulting in an open heart surgery and a few lung procedures during this past year alone. For almost three weeks now, she’s been hospitalized over an hour away from her and our dad, Ken’s, home following what they had thought was an overnight appointment. On Wednesday, April 2nd, our Mom’s health took a turn and now she’s intubated and fighting for her life in the ICU at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.

Through it all, she’s remained a fierce fighter, receiving the best care possible. Our dad, Ken, has not left her side, doing everything he can to support her, but this has left both of them unable to work, creating significant financial strain. We’ve created this fund to help alleviate some of the stress they’re facing as they continue to fight together. The funds raised will go towards essential expenses like hotel bills for Ken, their home rent, boarding their dog, flights, house bills, medical costs, and even small comforts like diet cokes for Dad’s room.
