EJs Karate Kids Go For GOLD

17 tournaments/ Elite Leve Trainings later its crunch time as AAU Nationals (Fort Lauderdale), WUKF Worlds (Fort Lauderdale), and USA Karate Nationals (Spokane, Washington) start next week June 28th, 2022. The estimated $35,000 goal helped cover fees, expenses, transportation, lodging, meals and more for EJs Warrior Karate Academy for all 17 events the previous 10 months. We are short of our goal for final Competitions by $4,000 but we have secured Van deposit and  leave in a few hours for stated events. Our GoFundMe was started September 2021 after EJs Warrior Karate Academy just completed USA Karate National Championships & US Team Trials 2021 in Chicago, Illinois Sept 1-5th 2021 earning 3 silver medals! We will fly to farther locations and drive in a rental van for our team of ages 8-20 and coaches as they fight for GOLD as in Previous Tournaments including West Chester -Hayashi Challenge Oct 2021 & Tournament X in Denver, Colorado Oct 30-31st 2021! There is also the return of competitions/trainings including the USA OPEN & Junior International Cup in Las Vegas April 2022 and CALIFORNIA TOURAMENT OF CHAMPIONS FEB 6th, 2022 & the Warriors are eager to fight for GOLD! Several additional tournaments include AAU, have been added to increase experience & chances for Warriors in upcoming critical matches. Warriors just returned from Ozawa Cup, US Open, Junior International Cup and AAU West Team Trials in Las Vegas April 15-17th 2022. Warrior Destiny earned flight to compete in Cyprus April 29th, 2022, for her first overseas competition at 16 years old and being only African American female representing United States in Limassol k1 Youth league 2022.
Afterward immediately Sensei EJ saw faults that needed corrected and booked van to take Warriors to compete at higher level Miami Open March 14-15, 2022 in Miami Florida. This also allowed Warriors Destiny, Marlon and Tommy to compete for spots on AAU National Team  at AAU Team Trials South 2 hours from Miami in Fort Pierce Florida on Sunday May 15th. Warriors Mario, Serenity, Markus, Khalif, and Malek had already secured spots on AAU National Team at Las Vegas Team Trials, but Destiny, Marlon, and Tommy missed vegas Trials due to conflict with already committing to US Open in Las Vegas (Destiny bronze kumite, Tommy Gold Para karate). Warriors Tommy, Destiny and Marlon also were selected by AAU to be members of AAU National Team, meaning all 8 warriors were selected to compete this July in Fort Lauderdale at WUKF World Championships!

Now is the countdown to AAU Nationals in Fort Lauderdale Florida (driving from Columbus, Ohio-Van rental), June 26-July 2nd ( Warriors Serenity, Khalif, Malek, Marlon, Markus-Coach Emmanuel) and  USA Karate Nationals July 1-3 in Spokane, Washington (flights from Florida Warriors Destiny, Tommy, Sensei EJ) and return to Florida for WUKF World Championships July 3-7th, 2022. Did we mention afterwards we planning on driving team to Senior Worlds in Birmingham, Alabama July 7-9th before returning home to Columbus Ohio for our Daycamp at EJs Warrior Karate Academy? Gear, transportaton, meals, lodging , registration fees, paring, and more expenses ...
