Mimi's Cancer Fund

Donation protected
I never thought that at age 24 cancer would be something that could infect my body. What began as a small concern over some irregular bowel movement, turned out to be the ugly beginning of colon cancer. On February 4th I had a polyp removed from my colon that, at first sight, looked benign. It was not, however. Instead the polyp showed evidence of cancer and I was advised by my GI doctor to look into having a surgery that would allow for the infected area of my colon to be removed and lymph nodes to be tested for any metastasis of the cancer. There is a 2-3% chance that the cancer has spread, and more than likely this surgery will prove that my body is now cancer free. This surgery will take place on March 22nd and will put me out on bed rest for at least two weeks.

I am reaching out in the hopes to raise money to help pay for the various procedures, tests and the surgery I will need.  As a young woman just two years out of college, this wasn't a hit that I had prepared to take. Any donation that you can give is greatly appreciated and will help relieve some of the financial stress I am feeling at this time.

I am so thankful for all the kind words, the prayers and the thoughtful messages I have received during the past week. Thank you in advance for any donation you feel you can give. If you have any questions for me about this process then please feel free to call, text or send me a message.
