Jamie’s Breast Cancer Journey

Hello family and friends, 

Jamie was recently diagnosed with stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer. She received the news the same day that she was supposed to start her new job in the Mother Baby Unit at the hospital. Given that treatment is going to weaken her immune system, it is not recommended that she work in the hospital at this time. 

Jamie will receive her first round of chemotherapy on November 18th. She will receive six rounds of chemotherapy with each round being three weeks apart. After that, she will have a mastectomy. Then, possible radiation. The next year will be a challenge but Jamie is strong. She is ready to start treatment and kick cancer’s butt. 

Jamie, Sohl (Brian), Elijah and Logan can use all of the prayers, love and support that we can provide them at this time.
