Helping Tina

My best friend, my favorite person, my mama, Tina Montes.

In just a short amount of time she began getting very tired and having more pain in her body than usual. Finally having gone to the doctor and getting blood work done, we were hoping the doctors would be able to give her some medicine and she’d be on her way. Unfortunately, the doctor called with bad news the very next day. They had her rush to the ER immediately to get scans and more blood work done, which confirmed she has the rarest form of leukemia.

Acute lymphoblastic leukemia type T.

We were informed she is no longer able to leave the hospital and will be there minimally 29 days. The leukemia is making up 80% of her bone marrow and she start a chemo regimen immediately which consists of 4 different treatments at this time.

For those of you that know her, you know she’s a strong, independent, hardworking, kind woman that takes care of anyone and anyone and welcomes them with open arms. Even while in the hospital now battling leukemia, she still thinks of everyone else. She is the most selfless person I know. She’s a fighter and isn’t one to ask for help unless she really needs it.

She can’t work right now and we are not sure when she will be able to work WHEN she gets out. (She will. I believe it. We believe it) I am asking for help to pay her bills and the dogs (Malachi, Mia and Gizmo) while she can’t work. Most importantly, we’re asking for prayers. There is power in prayer and we know and trust that there is a reason and purpose for everything even if we don’t understand. There has been many hardships this month alone that she has conquered and we know this too shall pass.

The hope is for her to worry less about other things and focus on staying strong and getting better. Thank you in advanced for any prayers and help you may give. They both go a long way.
