Friends-
Most of you have been touched by Aimee Parsons’s sense of humor, kindness, and positive attitude. Once you meet her, you are her friend. What some may not know is that our friend/sister/daughter, Aimee, has relentlessly battled three autoimmune liver diseases (Primary Biliary Cholangitis, Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, and Autoimmune Hepatitis) for 26 years and sadly needs a liver transplant. Recently she was also diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer) also known as HCC.
She has now tacked the biggest step, finding a living donor to give her a lobe of liver! This absolute angel is most literally saving her life and their transplant surgeries are set for Nov. 25th, 2024.
Many things go into a successful liver transplant, and reducing the financial stress and burden that comes along with this extensive procedure is one of them. Please consider donating to help take the burden of financial stress off her plate.
The money will be used to help pay for the medical expenses, lost wages and various needs that come along with the transplant for herself, her living donor, and the caregivers who will need to be with Aimee 24/7 for at least 6 weeks post-transplant. It will also be used to help pay for travel expenses to and from Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, childcare expenses for the donor, etc. If there are any remaining funds they will be donated back to the American Liver Foundation.
