Bringing Jacob Home
I’ve went back and forth about posting a Go Fund Me for this, but the honest truth is our family is beyond devastated over the loss of Jacob. He’s more than a brother or son. He was mine and my siblings best friend. We all had different relationships with him, but what we all had in common is that we loved him to no end.
Jacob grew up in Dallas, Ga and shortly after graduating at North Paulding he left for the Marine Corps and spent the majority of his enlistment being stationed in Okinawa, Japan.
Jacob then attended a technical
college where he got a certification for welding before moving back home to Smyrna, Ga.
Jacob began working with the union for the next couple years. The union is not like the Marine Corp. there is no brother hood. No loyalty. Jacob missed the brotherhood. He missed being apart of something. This weight only grew heavier and heavier over time.
Just as Corona hit Jacob made a last ditch effort to find happiness and picked up and moved everything he owned to California. We all begged him to stay. I cried when he left. We all did.
It’s hard to say what happened out there because he was so far away. Our family isvery close and we along with other friends all spoke to Jacob the days leading to the end. At some point Jacob decided he was no longer going to be on this earth anymore and went out on his terms.
We will not be having his ashes for 2 weeks. Every single thing Jacob owns including his truck and Jeep are all in San Bernardino, Ca.
My Father, Uncle, and I will be flying to California. We’re probably going to rent a trailer to tow his Jeep with his truck across the country, back home.
The donations will strictly be cover getting Jacobs belongings home and any extra will go to the funeral. Again the only reason I am posting this is because people have continued to reach out asking how they can help and this is where we can use it most.
