Garrett is a very special kid. He has overcome many obstacles in his 15 years of life. Among other things he has experienced rejection and lack of affiliation. Becoming a member of the Equessense Team has changed Garret’s life. Learning new skills, bonding with animals and people has enabled him to trust for the first time ever. He feels cared for and safe. He is revising his self definition from a valueless reject to a person of worth. Garrett’s transformation since he began equine therapy is nothing short of a metamorphosis. He is not the same kid that started with us a little over a year ago. Unfortunately Garret’s funding is being cut and he needs sponsorship to continue this life-changing therapeutic intervention. We are afraid that if he loses this life-line it will be perceived as another rejection: one more trust-bond shattered. He will be devastated beyond repair.  He rides twice a week.
