Hi everyone,
My name is Shamar, I’m reaching out during a time and position that I never imagined I’d be in. I was recently diagnosed with Leukemia(ALL). Following a four week inpatient hospitalization, I now have to undergo weekly chemotherapy treatments at the Univ of Penn Four times a week (for two or more years, unless I can get a Stem Cell donor) a 30-45 minute one way drive. This diagnosis has completely disabled me and caused an overwhelming amount of unexpected bills, loss of income and housing crisis.
Prior to my diagnosis I was a long haul truck driver, but over the past two month, I’ve been doing everything I can to manage on my own, but the financial burden has become overwhelming. The funds raised will go directly toward bills, rent, utilities, transportation to treatment, and unexpected medical expenses.
This support would mean more than just financial relief, it would give me the ability to focus on healing and getting back on my feet without the constant fear of falling further behind.
If you’re able to donate, share, or keep me in your thoughts and prayers I would be incredibly grateful. Every contribution, no matter the size, will truly makes a difference.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can offer.
With gratitude,
Shamar
