I am setting this fund up for the Sawatzky family, as they are experiencing something that no family wishes to ever undergo.
Their son Spencer became unwell over the winter break, losing weight rapidly and unable to keep fluids and solids down. He was taken to the local hospital three times and finally on the third visit he was admitted. After a roller coaster ride for his parents, the hospital finally saw a perforated bowel on his x-ray. Spencer was flown to Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, where he is still receiving treatment and will remain until he is better.
Unfortunately since Spencer has been in the hospital, his mom Krista has not been able to work and therefore the family is one income short. With the stress of Spencer not being well and the constant worry that both parents have for their son, it would be wonderful to alleviate their financial stress.
Being a mother myself I can only imagine the emotions that Krista has had to deal with on this journey. I have set this go fund me account up because I know although the money will be used to keep the bills paid and allow for both Spencer's Dad and brother to make the journey to Children’s Hospital. They, like so many of us, would feel awkward asking for help ourselves. Please donate anything you can, it all adds up!
