I am raising money to help evacuate my friend Oday’s brother & sister from Palestine. For the first $1,737 dollars donated, I will personally match it.

NOTE: As of July 25th, I’ve increased the goal to $15,000 to account for urgent requests for food & medical donations. $10,000 is still our goal for evacuation, but extreme food insecurity and Oday’s brother, Mohammed’s, life-saving kidney surgery will be prioritized for the next few weeks. 

Who is Oday? Oday is 23-year-old Palestinian from Gaza. Since the start of the genocide in Gaza, Israel has destroyed his family’s home, his family’s business and murdered his beloved sister. His father was severely injured in the attack on their home and is now disabled, leaving Oday the sole provider for his family—his father, his mother, and his four younger siblings.

Why am I doing this? Oday is already running a fundraising campaign for basic necessities like food and water. As he and a cadre of allies work to meet his family’s day to day needs, I am committed to working in the background to evacuate them long-term. It costs approx. $5,000 to evacuate one person from Palestine to Egypt. Oday still needs to secure funding for his younger brother Jamal and his sister Sama, making my goal $10,000.

Can you actually trust that your donation will go to Oday? Yes. Every dollar you donate will go directly to my (Sam’s) bank account, which I will then deposit into Oday’s bank using his International Bank Account Number.
