Hallo, ich bin Julia. Ich sammle Spenden für Lal, seine Frau Dhanya und ihre Töchter Nidhi (10) und Dhani (5).

Während meines letzten Indien-Aufenthalts habe ich Lal und seine Familie über Jinu, den Besitzer eines kleinen Resorts in Kerala, kennengelernt. Lal arbeitet dort als Koch, seine Lebensgeschichte hat mich tief berührt – und ich hoffe, sie wird auch euch bewegen.

Vor fünf Jahren erhielt Lal von der Regierung ein kleines Grundstück, um darauf ein Haus für seine Familie zu bauen. Den Rohbau konnte er mit Mühe fertigstellen, aber dann gingen ihm die finanziellen Mittel aus. Trotz harter Arbeit bleibt nach den Ausgaben für den Lebensunterhalt und die Schulbildung seiner Töchter nichts übrig, um das Haus fertigzustellen.

Seit zweieinhalb Jahren steht der Rohbau nun leer und beginnt zu verfallen. Inzwischen lebt die Familie in einer engen und unsicheren Unterkunft – ein Zustand, der besonders für die beiden Mädchen alles andere als ideal ist.

Jinu, der Lals Arbeitgeber und Freund ist, macht sich große Sorgen um die Familie und hat mich um Unterstützung gebeten. Ich möchte helfen und habe deshalb dieses Crowdfunding gestartet. Unser Ziel ist es, mindestens 2.000 € zu sammeln. Damit könnten wir zunächst das Dach für das Haus finanzieren und den Rohbau vor weiterem Verfall schützen. Es wäre ein entscheidender Schritt, um Lals Familie ein sicheres Zuhause zu ermöglichen.

Jede Spende zählt – egal wie klein! Gemeinsam können wir dieser Familie Hoffnung und ein besseres Leben schenken.

Please help Lal and his family create a safe home!

Hi, my name is Julia. I am raising funds for Lal, his wife Dhanya, and their daughters Nidhi (10) and Dhani (6).

During my recent trip to India, I got to know Lal and his family through Jinu, the owner of a small resort in Kerala. Lal works there as a cook, and his situation deeply moved me – I hope it will inspire you to help as well.

Five years ago, Lal received a small piece of land from the government to build a home for his family. He managed to complete the basic structure, but then ran out of money. Despite his hard work, there’s nothing left after covering the family’s living expenses and his daughters’ education to continue building the house.

For the past two and a half years, the unfinished house has been sitting empty and is slowly deteriorating. In the meantime, Lal and his family are living in cramped and unsafe conditions – especially concerning for his two young daughters.

Jinu, Lal’s employer and friend, is very worried about them and asked me if I could help. That’s why I’ve started this crowdfunding campaign. Our goal is to raise at least €2,000. This would be enough to put a roof on the house and prevent further damage to the structure. It’s a critical step toward giving Lal’s family a safe and secure home.
