Hi I’m Sharon and I'm starting this fundraiser in the memory of my friend Eileen who sadly passed away on Sunday 6th November. Eileen was an incredible person who had a gift to make everyone in her life feel special. She has battled with cancer since 2020, but still managed to be the life and soul of the party. Eileen would walk into a room and bring the sunshine with her. She was the most generous, kind, and caring person I have ever met and I’m so privileged that she was my friend.

Eileen's husband Carl also passed away in 2012 which leaves her four children, Ben, Alex, Adam and Sally to navigate life without the guidance, support and financial security of their parents.

The children are now left with the responsibility of fending for themselves on a day-to-day basis. I, along with all her friends, would like to build a fund for them. Already their roof is leaking and needs replacing so to start we would like to take the burden of that away from them.

Eileen was a ray of sunshine, and her last goodbye needs to reflect this. Rather than people purchasing lavish floral tributes we would encourage for everyone to buy a buttonhole gerbera which can be order here at a cost of £5 alongside a donation of your choice. It is important to us that the funeral is filled with colour, but it is more important that the children don’t have to worry about unexpected costs at this time.

1st December 2022 at 11.00 a.m. at Christ the Eternal High Priest - 410 Brentwood Rd, Gidea Park, Hornchurch, Romford RM2 6DH (please arrive early to receive your buttonhole).

On to South Essex Crematorium for 12.40 p.m. - Ockendon Rd, Upminster RM14 2UY

Afterwards, please join the family at The Railway Pub - Station Ln, Hornchurch RM12 6SB
