After falling ill with both covid and then pneumonia, my dear friend Eileen was hospitalized and had to undergo surgery to clear her lungs of build-up. The surgery proved to be too much for her body to handle and caused her to suffer a cardiac episode while recovering in her home Monday afternoon. After monitoring her for multiple days, it was declared Friday morning she had no brain activity. She will soon be taken off a ventilator to donate her organs, a final act of a loving mother so that she may live on through others. Her ongoing inability to work, her mounting hospital bills, and the cost of her funeral is putting immeasurable financial and emotional stress on her husband, Kevin and four children: Daniel, Calli, Colin, and Cara.
Eileen was a loving friend, daughter, wife, mother, not just to her own and has been an active member of the Ocean Township community for over thirty years. Any help to the family during this time is greatly appreciated.
The family would like to offer an enormous thank you to all the health professionals at Jersey Shore Medical Center, who helped keep Eileen comfortable in her time of distress.
