We are the Eight Great TARDIS-Transporting Tardigrades (In Space!), a FIRST LEGO League robotics team from the Missoula International School in Missoula, Montana.
After winning the Second Place Champion’s Award at the Montana state FLL tournament in January, we have been invited to the FIRST LEGO League California Open International Tournament at LEGOLAND California, May 17-19, where we will compete with teams from around the world in robotics and scientific research on problems facing astronauts during long-term space travel.
We are really excited for this opportunity to continue innovating with our robot, and sharing our research. Our project this year is the Smell-o-Vision Exercise-O-Matic 10,000, a combination of virtual reality, exercise, and scent to help improve astronauts’ physical and mental health during long, lonely journeys through space.
We are raising money to cover our team-members’ tournament registration and travel expenses, including hotels, airfare, and meals. Your generosity in helping these eight amazing young programmers, engineers, and scientists is so deeply appreciated!
