Eid al-Fitr fundraising campaign

Eid al-Fitr is a day of celebration, gratitude, and joy—a time when we gather with loved ones in new clothes, share festive meals, and give thanks for our blessings. But for some families in our community, this blessed day is overshadowed by struggle and uncertainty.

This Eid, let us embody the true spirit of compassion. We are launching this campaign to stand beside those who carry their burdens with dignity, to ease their hardships, and to ensure they, too, can experience the joy of this holy day.

Here are the stories of the families we wish to support together:

- A **widowed mother with young children**, who lost her husband and now works tirelessly as a cleaner. She fights every day to provide food, cover expenses, and keep her children in school. Her strength is admirable, but her resources are painfully limited. Your support can ensure her children have new clothes and school supplies for Eid.

- Another **woman, also working as a cleaner**, is battling a severe eye disease that requires expensive medical treatment. Her husband, once the breadwinner, became disabled after a workplace accident. This Eid, let us lift the weight of medical bills from their shoulders.

- A **woman who once worked in a hammam**, now unable to work after losing a leg due to illness. Without income, she never begs but only accepts discreet support from those who know her situation. Your generosity can provide her with a festive meal and the feeling that she is not forgotten.

- A **man who suffered a terrible road accident**, leading to the amputation of his leg. Already living with diabetes, he is now disabled, while his wife battles cancer. Their situation is desperate, as both face serious health challenges without means of stability. A donation can bring them relief and a moment of peace this Eid.

These families do not seek alms in public; they bear their struggles with quiet dignity. It is only those aware of their condition who step forward to support them.

As the Qur’an reminds us: *“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills”* (Qur’an 2:261).

With your support, we can help these families cover school expenses, access vital medical care, provide festive Eid clothes for their children, and ensure they have a blessed meal to celebrate the end of Ramadan.

Your Zakat and Sadaqah, no matter how small, can bring hope, dignity, and light to their lives this Eid. Together, let us answer this call of compassion.
