On Jan 6th our 19 year old son, Eian, was gravely injured in a devastating motor vehicle accident that leaves him fighting for his life in the ICU. Eian's injuries are severe and many: multiple fractures to his skull and spine, significant vascular damage to the arteries in his neck, and numerous brain bleeds that remain life-threatening. Every second is critical. The exceptional medical team by his side is monitoring him around the clock, ready to intervene at a moment's notice to give him the best chance at survival. Every moment is uncertain as things stand now, and each breath and movement he makes is a testament of his fighting spirit to remain with us.
Through this GoFundMe campaign, we are hoping to secure the financial support needed to help Eian continue this fight to stay alive, and recover to whatever degree humanly possible! We are fiercely committed to giving him that support! Attempting to set fundraiser goal amounts for devastating life events such as this is extremely difficult, knowing financial impact will be for ranging depending on so many variable factors.
Asking for help and support can be uncomfortable, and no doubt the financial needs stated on this campaign are more than likely to far surpass that number, but at this point we are not focused on a set dollar amount, but more so obtaining the funds necessary to be present and on the front lines of his fight for life! The funds raised will go directly towards his mounting medical bills, the extensive care we know he'll require in the days, weeks, months, and possibly years to follow if we are blessed with a miracle of his survival, and to assist our family in coping with the loss of income as we dedicate our time to Eian's fight for life.
