Tori’s Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On January 23rd, my cousin Tori and her husband Chris welcomed their 4th baby, Phineas. 4 days later, she was back in the hospital with severe headaches from postpartum preeclampsia.
Unfortunately, she suffered a hemorrhagic stroke, requiring emergency neurosurgery. Part of her skull was removed, and a drain was placed to alleviate the brain swelling. She was in the ICU for two weeks, then was moved to an inpatient rehab facility for another four weeks. There, she worked tirelessly with physical, speech, and occupational therapy. On March 13, another brain surgery was performed to replace the portion of her skull that was removed. Tori returned home on March 15, where her therapy work has continued.
She has fought hard through all of this and has made significant progress. However, Tori and her family have a long and challenging journey ahead as she continues to regain the strength in her left side so that she could relearn how to walk and perform basic activities of daily living. Your generous contributions will help provide financial assistance to supplement any unforeseen medical bills and expenses for the care needed for Tori and her children. Every contribution, no matter the size, will have a meaningful impact on Tori’s journey to recovery.
We thank you in advance for all of your support and generosity.
