On 6/18/19 my sister Holly Holland and her husband Nathan Holland took their son Tyler (15 yrs old) to have a very simple small outpatient surgical procedure. 4 days later Tyler developed a massive surgical site infection. He was taken back to the hospital for another surgery to clear the infection. This surgery was very extensive and unexpectedly left Tyler with a huge wound resulting from a large amount of tissue being removed all the way down to the bone. Tyler was transferred to Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston,TX a couple days later where my sister and her husband learned the infection is still present and is even in the bone. Tyler is going through extensive treatments which includes a Wound Vac for wound care, high doses of IV antibiotics, and numerous other treatments which will include multiple upcoming surgeries to correct this nightmare. There are still many unknowns at this point. During this time Holly and Nathan are living in the hospital with Tyler which is predicted to be anywhere from 2 to 6 months. I am asking for help with donations for medical and hospital living cost for the family. Both Holly and Nathan will be out of work for a very long time and the burden of finances are rapidly growing. All donations will go directly to the Holland Family to assist Tyler in whatever is needed for the journey ahead to a successful recovery! Prayers are also greatly appreciated!!
