Help Support an Orphanage in Afghanistan

Salamalaikum!

The Ehsas Orphanage located in Afghanistan houses and educates more than 150 orphans across Afghanistan and needs your help to continue their work across the country. The orphanage was founded by Ehsas Welfare and Social Services Organization (EWSSO) and is dependant on the generosity of donors like yourself to continue their work. By accomplishing the current goal of $15000 we will be able to cover all of the orphanages costs for over 50 children for 3 months and give an Eid gift to the children that are in their care.

Background

The past 40 years of war in Afghanistan have destroyed countless families in Afghanistan, leaving countless children on the streets without families or guardians. Alongside the recent developments in Afghanistan, the economy has suffered tremendously, increasing poverty rates leaving many families destitute without any way to support their children. Normally these kids would be forced into lives of manual labour and being left out of school. Ehsas orphanage provides these children, some of which are as young as 7 years old, with the opportunity to live normal lives with access to education and and to enjoy their childhood like any child should. The efforts of Ehsas and their generous donors contributes directly towards the education and uplifting the poorest sector of Afghan society. By supporting these children you are creating generational change by helping change the course of their lives and uplifting the lives of 100s of others close to them.

Where does the money go?

The money raised will go towards the operation costs of the orphanage and support other orphans as well who do not stay in the orphanage. The orphanage provides all the students with their basic necessities such as food, clothes etc. In addition to that the children all go to private school, where they learn English, Science, and how to operate a computer. The money will help cover the costs of their tuition, books, and uniforms. A portion of your donations will also go towards providing all the children with a gift for Eid, bringing their Ramadan to a joyful end. This gift will include new clothes and some money for each child. The cost for each child per month comes to roughly $100 per month. By reaching our goal of $15000 we will be able to support over 50 orphans for 3 months. Ehsas Welfare and Social Services Organization is a reputable charity operating and registered in Afghanistan, alongside the orphanage they provide many other types of humanitarian aid such as anti-famine efforts, emergency relief responses, and Ramadan support.

What can you do to help?

Over the past few decades countless children have been made orphans and forced to live on the streets. We need to make sure we are trying our best to support the most vulnerable people in our societies by giving them a safe space, an education, a normal childhood, and a home in the orphanage. You can help by donating any amount you can, no contribution is too small. The fundraising team

We are a group of Afghans living in Canada who are fortunate enough to be able to work on supporting and helping these children. We run these campaigns annually raising more than $15000 last year, and have provided support to this orphanage, and provided food packs to families during Ramadan. Inshallah we hope to go past of our goal of $15000 with your generous donations and support. Inshallah with your help we hope to be able to support change in the lives of these children in Ramadan.
