New Home for the Holidays
***UPDATE 12.8.14***
We got it we got it we got the house! We did not meet the $1000 goal of the gofundme but we are in the house! We got the keys today and we can move in our things as soon as I go through and cleanse and clean the house! This is the best thing that has EVER happened to us and I will DAMN sure post pics soon! Thank you everyone! All your help and thoughts and good will I'm sure has played a part if in nothing else in letting me know that you care and we are not alone! THANK YOU!!!

Something happened to us that we though would never happen. Something really positive and possibly life changing. We were approved to rent a house that is beyond perfect for us. The zip code allows us to continue rescuing neighbor cat colonies and getting them spayed/neutered, it allows me to leave the house under my own power for the first time in 3 years via public transport, has a large backyard for our autistic son to play safely in, it has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a 2 car garage and a kitchen I almost wept openly to see. The landlord even stated he would be agreeable to letting us buy the house in a few years once our credit is higher.
We have felt trapped in our current situation for three years, and this is our chance to escape and make things better for our family. Right now if we do not get this house, we will have no place to go. We were duped into where we are now and since we do not have enough credit to get any financing we would be eventually forced out or have to accept another predatory situation.
The only issue is that we are short just 1000.00 for the down payment that would give us the keys and set us free of our current situation where we feel like we are drowning.
We are supposed to give over the monies on Monday 12/8/2014. I know this is cutting it close but we only received the approval today, 12/5/2014.
It would break our hearts to lose this opportunity and I don't know if we would be able to bounce back from this fully if this doesn't work out.
