Nov 19, 2018 Update. Fantastic News, we reached 100% goal to collect money for the surgery, thanks to your general donations, the national TV in Ukraine, multiple volunteers across globe! I am going to close the donation page for now. I am waiting to hear from family when Denis will be transported to Rome. Nov 14, 2018 Update. Thank you all for your generous donation. We reached 10% of the surgery cost today.
Denis is a little fighter but his body is not responding well to chemotherapy. The boy will be transported asap to Europe as soon as doctors sign off that he can board a flight. A new hospital in Rome agreed to accept him in this critical condition.

Nov 1, 2018 Update. Denis is 11 years old boy now who has been enjoying his childhood as a normal child in the last 2 years. He loves drawing, playing with his sister, running on the street with his friends and more. But unfortunately leukemia is a serious diagnose and Denis is admitted back to the hospital. The boy urgently needs bone marrow transplant, the surgery is scheduled early January.

We all hear stories of illness and need for help, sometimes we ignore them only because we don't even know if these people exist... Unfortunately this story is real and Denis needs help to fight his illness
During my annual trip to Ukraine this winter I met an incredibly kind and gentle 8 years old Denis who touched my heart. It was devastating to learn that he was just diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (blood cancer). The family is very poor and cannot afford needed medications and chemo. I believe that Denis has a chance for a happy childhood if he receives all needed medications.
