Ehlani Lillian Araujo

To all our friends & family, Thank You for all the support you’ve brought into Ehlani’s life.

Ehlani was born on March 25th 2021 weighing in at only 3lbs 1oz. She is the most beautiful, precious, & lovable little girl that God brought into our lives. In the eight months she has been on this planet, she has already impacted so many people, including myself and her father. 

Ehlani was born with a very rare brain malformation. At only seven days old she was diagnosed with Lissencephaly, which means that instead of having ridges & wrinkles her brain is smooth.

About 1 in 100,000 babies is born with Lissencephaly. Our sweet girl was that 1.

For this unfortunate reason our Ehlani’s motor functions are not what they would be at her age. Ehlani has experienced having many seizures, muscle spasms, difficulty swallowing, weakened body muscles, psychomotor difficulties and even with having to battle these challenges on a daily basis, she continues to be the happiest little girl I have ever seen.

The past few months were really tough on her. After having many seizures, and endless months of hospitalizations for pneumonia and countless numbers of  different respiratory viruses. Having seizures has lead to the inability to eat through her mouth giving us no option but to agree to an NG-tube in order for her to get the nutrition she needs.
 

 Ehlani continues to surprise, encourage, humble, and express her love to everyone she comes in contact with. Funds will go towards special need chairs, feeding tubes, oxygen, special need equipment & health care appointments as all of these are not covered by insurance. 

Being hospitalized for months on end, back and forth phone calls with Ehlani’s insurance trying to get her the proper insurance she needs.  And unfortunately not being able to get Ehlani the proper medical assistance she needs, any type of donations, prayers, or financial assistance will all go towards the benefit of Ehlani. Any type of donations will help us keep Ehlani strong and ready to continue battling this diagnosis. Truly any type of donation at all goes a long way in Ehlani’s daily battle.
