My name is Marion. I am a transgender individual living in Uganda, and I am reaching out to you today with a plea for urgent help.

Life as a transgender person in Uganda is incredibly challenging. While I dream of a life where I can live authentically and without fear, the reality is that I am currently facing severe mistreatment and discrimination in my current community.

The constant harassment, threats, and prejudice have made my home an unsafe and untenable place to be. I live in fear daily, and it has become clear that for my safety and well-being, I must relocate to another district where I hope to find a more accepting environment.

This decision is not one I've made lightly. It is a matter of survival. However, this move comes at a time when I am already at my most vulnerable. I recently lost my job, which was my only source of income. This means I no longer have the means to cover my basic needs, let alone the significant costs associated with relocating and starting anew.

I am hopeful that in a new district, I will be able to find stable employment and rebuild my life. But before I can even begin that journey, I need immediate assistance to cover essential expenses. I am currently without food, and the thought of securing a new place to stay and feeding myself until I find a new job is overwhelming.
