EHCP assessment funding for Phoebe's future
Donation protected
As a Mum I want to make sure when my 3 year old daughter, Phoebe starts school, she receives the right support that her is tailored to her needs. Phoebe has recently met her Health Visitor and I have been advised to begin an EHCP application as like her older brother, she may also be autistic.
An Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan is a legally binding document that outlines a child or young person's special educational, health, and care needs.
I am seeking to do this privately as having self-funded this process with my first child to secure his EHCP and funding, I know how hard this can be. I found the private assessments provided the necessary detailed recommendations which eventually led to his enrolment in a SEN school.
Due to my financial situation and the strain of my first child's application, my family is not in a position where we can do this again so soon.
Louie, my eldest child has recently completed this journey. After a year and half and lots of correspondence with the local council, which required the support of a dedicated SEN advocate, we finally secured his place at the SEN school. From witnessing the difficulties my son experienced, I want to minimize the impact of this process on Phoebe's educational journey by beginning this application as soon as possible.
Your support will not only reduce the financial burden on my family but, ensure Phoebe has her needs fully understood so she can go on to be the bright, happy, loving child she is, fully supported in school alongside her peers
