On March 3rd, Monica’s life was turned upside down by a sudden and unexpected medical emergency. She is currently in a coma, fighting for her life with every ounce of strength she has. This is an incredibly difficult and uncertain time for everyone who loves her, as we wait and pray for the woman who has always been our pillar of strength.

As a loving teacher, for years Monica has dedicated her life to her students. She doesn’t just teach academics; she teaches kindness, faith, and compassion. Her impact on countless children’s lives was officially recognized when she was named Teacher of the Year in 2023. To her students, parents, and colleagues, she is more than a teacher, she is a mentor and a light.

At home, Monica is the heartbeat of her family. She is a loving wife to her devoted husband Hugo, and the world to her two young children, Dani (12) and Nico (9). They rely on her every single day for the guidance and warmth that only a mother can provide. Watching them navigate this emotional and financial hardship is heartbreaking, and we want to do everything possible to protect them during this storm.

Monica’s life is a testament to her deep devotion to God. Her values are centered in her faith, and she has spent her life lifting others up through prayer and encouragement. Even in her absence, her spirit continues to inspire those around her to stay grounded in belief and positivity.
