In November, I will be joining a World Vets team going to Roatan, Honduras, where we'll spend a week spaying and neutering local dogs and cats, as well as providing needed medical care to sick or injured pets.
World Vets is sort of the veterinary equivalent of Doctors Without Borders. This will be my fourth trip with the organization, of which I, obviously, think highly.
Veterinary technicians like me must pay their own way (World Vets pays for the veterinarians), which means airfare plus a fee that covers lodging and some meals. These trips are so validating for me; spay/neuter is my big issue! But they are expensive. Any donation is much appreciated and will also help me line up good care for my own old cat and dog while I'm away.
Thank you for any help you can offer, and if you can't afford to donate, I totally understand.
