We are working with S.H.E. (Safe Haven Egypt) to bring a group of 10+ disabled homeless cats from Cairo, Egypt to Maine, to the safety of the amazing Maine Coast Animal Rescue. The cats are supposed to make the extremely long flight in the next couple of weeks. The money raised here will go to the travel costs for all of these cats and towards the vetting that they will absolutely need as soon as they arrive in Maine. We also need to raise gas money to give to the selfless volunteer who will travel from Maine to New York City to pick these cats up when they arrive from Egypt.

The cats that are lucky enough to be rescued by Safe Haven Egypt from the streets in Cairo are almost always in bad shape from abusive humans, from narrow escapes of roving packs of homeless dogs, from busy streets, from neglect and/or from other cats desperately trying to survive themselves. Though the love and care they receive with SHE is amazing, all of the cats will need veterinary care as soon as they arrive, some of which might not cost too much, but some which will cost a lot.

PLEASE donate any amount to help us to get these cats from Egypt to Maine and to offer them long and happy lives. The donated money goes directly to the founder of Maine Coast Animal Rescue and will be used explicitly on travel and vetting.
