Second Chances
For 40 years, our organization has been a lifeline for individuals facing some of life’s toughest barriers—those living with disabilities, mental illness, and those who have come to Canada as refugees. Based in the heart of downtown Edmonton, our social enterprise provides meaningful training and employment through cleaning, lawncare, flyer delivery, move monitor, and snow removal services, helping people build skills, dignity, and financial independence.
Today, we are at a critical crossroads.
Due to the loss of government funding and rising operational costs, we are struggling to maintain key staff and are now facing difficult layoffs. These staff members are not just employees—they are mentors, role models, and champions for those we serve. Without immediate support, we risk losing the people and tools that keep our mission alive.
We are turning to you—our community—for support.
Our goal is to raise $30,000 to:
• Offset wages and retain essential staff members
• Purchase updated lawncare equipment to expand our service capacity
• Stabilize and grow our social enterprise, which reinvests every dollar into creating jobs for those who need them most
We believe in second chances, inclusion, and the power of work to transform lives. With your donation, you are not just keeping the lights on—you are giving someone a reason to keep going, a sense of purpose, and a path forward.
Please donate if you can. Share if you care. Help us keep this 40-year mission alive for the next generation.
From all of us—thank you for believing in second chances.
A donation receipt will be provided. Feel free to also visit our Canada Helps page to support our cause. https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/on-site-placement-services-association/
