Hello, everyone knows me by Jonathan. Today, on 2/28/25, my condominium was getting a new roof done by the HOA. I was at work when my mother called me, and apparently, the workers (roofers) happened to be using a torch for the roof and ended up starting a fire. A fire big enough not to be put out with just a hose, so 911 was called in.
My mom and my 13-year-old son, who JUST came out of surgery and was resting at home with my mom, had to evacuate immediately while waiting for the firefighters to arrive. I was approximately an hour away from my work, so I rushed home as soon as I could. My wife was at work as well and was able to get home on time to make sure everyone was okay.
We are currently homeless but were able to secure a hotel for at least 7 days. I'm not sure what will happen after that and which way our life will be headed. All I know is it's in God's hands, and we will be doing everything we can to survive and get through this big bump in life. The fire department had deemed our location uninhabitable and has since red-tagged it, and we are no longer able to live in it until further notice.
I hope you, as everyone else reading this, can help out me and my family as we are going through tough times right about now. Whatever you can would be greatly appreciated by me and my family. We were able to secure important documents as well as some clothes, but not all. Everything else was either burned up or water damaged.
I don’t ask for help much, and I'm reaching out to anyone and everyone who would be willing to help out in any way possible. Thank you all for your help, and God bless you all for all the love and support that has been coming in to me and my family.
