Tony’s Memorial

Dear friends and family,
My name is Josira and I would like to take a moment to share with you the recent tragedy my family and I have been dealt. In February, my daughter and I were given the devastating news that Tony has stage four pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer spreads silently, making it go highly undetected for long periods of time in most cases. There is only a 3% survival rate of patients diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer.
It is with heavy hearts that my family and I now face this sad reality. Upon learning about his diagnosis, we questioned how much time we would have left with him. We have arrived to the point where doctors have advised us of what no family ever wants to hear. What doctors predicted in February as a few more months of time to share with Tony, is now limited to just a few more days.
For those of you who don’t know who Tony is, he is my husband of 35 years. Together we have raised our 20 year old daughter Mimi and shared a life full of countless memories. In the effort to support my husband during this tragic time in our lives, I have spent the last few months on an unpaid leave from work. I have spent every day of leave by Tony’s bedside helping him and caring for him as best as I can.
During our time of need, I would like to ask your help for my family and my husband Tony. The hardest part due to unforeseen expenses and costs is preparing arrangements at this time. We are reaching out to friends, family, and anyone reading this for help raising money for a proper burial for Tony.
Thank you to everyone for the outpouring of continuous love and support. We are eternally grateful for your kind words and actions during this difficult time. Please keep us in your prayers and God bless.
