The goal:

After the disappointment of the cancellation of the Hull Marathon I'm extremely pleased I have been accepted to run for the Asthma team in the London Marathon in April 2023. My new sponsorship page can be found here

On April 23rd 2023 I will be taking part in my first full Marathon, yep all 26.2 miles of it! With every step I take I'm hoping to raise money for the charity Nurture A Child.

Background:

I've always been driven by goals and although running is not my number 1 sport, I'd love to tick a Marathon off the list. Over the last couple of years I've run a couple of half marathons, so I thought, why not give the holy grail a shot and raise some money for a great cause.

Nurture A Child:

Nurture A Child is a charity dedicated to promoting and assisting the development of opportunities for children and young people. They work in tandem alongside existing charities, local authorities, sporting organisations and other partner agencies to identify, create, facilitate and deliver opportunities that are often beyond the reach and remit of existing child support agencies and networks.

Their aim is to improve the confidence, aspirations, life chances and advancement of young people through exposure to education, business, sports, arts, culture and science. In short, it’s an extension of what any parent would do for their own child.
