Dad's Surgery

My dad had several heart attacks during this last month. He had to go into surgery to get a stent in order to restore one of his arteries to prevent a fatal heart attack. He still has several blocked arteries and needs to go in to surgery this year. The surgery he will be going under is a open heart one in order to get a bypass. We are from Honduras and are taking him to Colombia in order for the surgery to take place.  The reason we are taking him to Colombia is because in Colombia the technology allows the surgery to be performed with the heart still beating. Mi padre tuvo varios ataques al corazón durante este último mes. Tuvo que someterse a una cirugía para obtener una endoprótesis para restaurar una de sus arterias y evitar un ataque cardíaco fatal. Todavía tiene varias arterias bloqueadas y necesita someterse a cirugía este año. La cirugía a la que se someterá es a corazón abierto para obtener un bypass. Somos de Honduras y lo llevamos a Colombia para que se realice la cirugía. La razón por la que lo llevamos a Colombia es porque en Colombia la tecnología permite que la cirugía se realice con el corazón aún latiendo.
